Terms & Conditions

Training 

  • During 121 sessions and classes there is a 1 dog per person policy. This is to optimise your dog's learning. If you wish to switch handlers during the session that is absolutely fine! 

  • All children under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian under close supervision at all times. 

  • Your dog's mental and physical wellbeing is of the utmost importance to us. Sessions may be cut short/rescheduled if your dog is struggling in the environment or extreme weather. I want your dogs to learn safely without distress. All time will be made up in new sessions.

  • During sessions do not approach other dogs, unless stated by the trainer during an exercise.

  • I am first aid trained in dogs and people. Please notify me of any accidents or injuries that take place during our sessions. 

  • Ensure your dogs flea, worm and vaccinations are up to date. 

  • Inform Waggology of any infectious diseases your dog may have come into contact with. 

  • Please notify us if your female dog is in season, we may reschedule your training session, or change the location.

  • Keep your dog on lead at all times unless stated otherwise by the trainer.

  • Your dogs poop-your responsibility. Bring poop bags to sessions. 

  • It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes/updates in your dog’s medical history. 

  • We regularly check all equipment is safe however we are not responsible for any damaged equipment. 

  • During your session Waggology Northeast is not responsible for any loss/damage for personal property. 

  • Waggology Northeast uses force free, fear free and pain free training methods. Therefore we do not condone the use of slip leads (unless an emergency), choke chains, prong collars and other aversives tools or techniques on your dog. If you are currently using these with the want to one day use a flat collar/harness, please discuss this with your trainer prior to your session, who will set you up with a training programme. All our training will take place on a flat collar/harness and failure to show up with correct equipment to sessions will result in a cancellation of the session without a refund. 

 


 

Waggology Northeast Trainers Responsibilities:

  • Our trainers are qualified and approved through the IMDT and follow a strict code of ethics which can be found here.

  • Waggology Northeast is insured by Brooks Braithwaite. For details of insurance cover please contact us.

  • We agree to work within our professional limits and will refer you onto suitable professionals if we believe it is required.

  • Your dog's mental, emotional and physical health is paramount to us and will always be at the forefront of our mind. Some sessions may be cut short due to this and time will be made up at a later date. 

  • If at any time we believe there may be any type of neglect involving your dog, we will refer this onto the appropriate services. 

  • We will escalate any cases with appropriate authorities where we believe your dog is an immediate threat to the public's health and safety. 

 

Owner responsibilities

As an owner working with us, you must accept and do the following:

  • Be open and honest-this allows us to gain a full understanding and to create a training plan to support your dog's needs. 

  • Inform us of any past or present physical or behavioural issues, including bite history.

  • Understand there are no quick fixes. Training is a process and takes ongoing commitment and dedication, outside of as well as during sessions. 

  • Some behaviours cannot be altered but rather managed. 

  • You assume sole responsibility for your dog’s behaviour, and any form of damage caused to property or person. You expressly waive and relinquish any claims against Waggology Northeast. The trainers are not responsible for your dog’s behaviour, prior, during or after training.

  • We recommend that you take out an appropriate insurance policy for your dog.
     

Cancellations

  • All our services are non-refundable but can be rearranged.

  • Please notify us with at least 5 days notice to rearrange a session. After this time you will be charged the full amount without a refund. 

  • If there is a genuine reason to cancel or postpone please do explain as discretions can be made. Exceptional circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis. 

  • All prepaid sessions are valid for six months after time of purchase.

  • We reserve the right to terminate this agreement at any time and refund your money in full or part without any liability or obligation to you.

  • If we cancel a service due to circumstances beyond our control, we will rearrange a new session time as soon as possible. 

 

Privacy Policy

  • Waggololy Northeast classes, workshops and consultations can be documented to record progress. We like to share photos, videos and discussions from our sessions online (social media and website) to celebrate successes and promote our business. Please let us know if you would like your dog’s achievements to be kept private.

  • Any information you provide will be regarded as confidential, and will not be shared with a third party without your consent, unless the law enforcement or RSPCA does request it. 

  • Your details will be filed securely and may be added to each time we work together. You have the right to see all records we keep and can request they are destroyed at any time. 

  • Your records are kept both digitally and also in paper files. Records are kept for 6 months after you finish using our services, where they will be deleted or destroyed. 

 

Controlling your Personal Information

  • We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. 

  • From time to time we may send you promotional information about our services that may interest you. If you would prefer not to receive these, let us know. You have the right to change your mind at any time by contacting us.

  • You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to or email us using the information on our Contact page. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

 

Code of Conduct

  • Waggology Northeast are modern dog trainers who use ethical, science based positive reinforcement training methods that are force, pain and fear free.  

  • Our aim at Waggology is to keep family dogs in family homes. Your dogs welfare and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we will do together, so your dog will not only learn loads in our sessions but will thrive and have fun too. 

  • We believe our dogs deserve the best and using positive reinforcement training allows your dog to become a confident canine, who is happy and can live in harmony alongside you. 

  • We may sometimes use negative punishment to reduce unwanted behaviour, this will be done by removing what your dog finds rewarding. 

  • Aversive training methods and equipment are not condoned or permitted by Waggology Northeast. These include but are not exclusive to: physical force, lead jerking, shouting, prong collars, choke chains, shock collars, spray bottles or any method or equipment that causes pain or discomfort. If you have been using any of these prior to our sessions beginning, you must let us know and we will provide you with an effective training plan or alternative. 


Zero-tolerance of abuse and bullying

At Waggology we will provide a safe space and we expect the same in return. Any rudeness, swearing or bullying that takes place either to our staff or other clients will not be tolerated. Your session will end immediately without a refund.
